HANDS ON HORSE THERAPY T's &C's

Terms and conditions of bookings, treatments and payment.

Definitions:

  • “The company” refers to ‘Hands on Horse Therapy’
  • “The customer” refers to any individual who has booked/paid the company for any  number of massage sessions.

By making a booking with Hands on Horse Therapy for the provision of massage therapy for your animal you agree to the following terms and conditions:

The customer will:

  1. The customer understands that deposits and payments are non-refundable. The company may occasionally issue refunds in exceptional circumstances however decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis and will be entirely at the discretion of the company.
  2. The customer understands that treatments, and their associated costs, are delivered per animal, therefore agrees that each animal will be treated as an individual and therefore will be subject to these terms and conditions individually. For example, each animal will need an individual assessment session prior to any follow up sessions, and each animal will need a deposit paid in order to secure the booking of their treatment.
  3. The customer understands that all bulk-buy purchases are valid for 12 months from the date of the first session booked.
  4. The customer agrees to give a minimum of 48 hours notice for any/all cancellations, and agrees that, where a minimum of 48 hours notice is not given, they forfeit the right to a re-appointment (regardless of whether this is a one-off booking or part of a BULK BUY purchase) and will also not be refunded the cost of the cancelled session. Any deviation from this arrangement is made solely at the discretion of the company.
  5. The Customer understands that cancellations which meet the 48 hours+ notice period may be rebooked up to 3 times in total (only) and understands that, after this limit is reached, they forfeit the right to rebooking that appointment and will need to pay for another session/ “lose” 1x session off the total number held in credit as part of any bulk-buy purchase.
  6. The customer understands that bookings can be made a maximum of three (3) months in advance. Any bookings made further in advance will be made solely at the discretion of “the company” and on a case-by-case basis.
  7. The customer agrees to be responsible for attaining the appropriate vet permission prior to treatment/booking for each and every animal they want treated and accepts liability for any costs which their vet may impose for this. Vet permission may be requested for all animals at the same time/in one go, to save the customer and their veterinarian time/energy/money.
  8. The customer shall confirm in writing to the company where vet permission has been obtained and when that was achieved.
  9. The customer acknowledges that the company strongly urges all customers to seek vet permission, in all circumstances, at least a week in advance of any massage session booked so as to protect the customer from cancellation fees, should the vet recommend massage not be undertaken.
  10. The customer understands that vet permission is only required once during any ongoing treatment period delivered by the company, at the point of initial assessment, unless it has been more than 12 months since the most recent session and since vet permission was sought/attained for Hands On Horse Therapy treatment, or any similar treatments conducted by other therapists.
  11. The customer understands that, if, on arrival for the session, the company identifies a condition for which massage is a contraindication and the session cannot continue/commence, and the customer has not sought vet permission for massage treatment or was told by the vet that treatment should not commence, then they will be subject to the standard cancellation conditions and forfeit the right to rebooking that appointment.
  12. The customer accepts it is their responsibility to inform ‘the company’ of any changes in the animal’s health ASAP in advance of any booked session.
  13. If any animal health changes result in a need to postpone the session within 48 hours of the booking then the customer should assume they will be subject to the same conditions as those detailed for cancellations. Depending on circumstances, the company may agree to postpone/ carry-over the booking, however this decision will be made on a case-by-case basis by the company (only).
  14. The customer agrees to ensure that their animal and a suitable place for treatment will be ready for their session before the company arrives; this includes providing a dry and (where possible) quiet area for the session to commence, and ensuring that the animal has been appropriately groomed (i.e. mud-free, feet cleaned, and dry coat)

The company will:

  1. The company reserves the right to choose to not treat/stop treating any animal, for any reason.
  2. The company will not cancel bookings unless in exceptional circumstances (such as illness or personal emergency)
  3. If the company must cancel a booking for personal reasons then they will give as much notice as possible to the customer and offer a new appointment within the forthcoming 3 months, at mutual convenience.
  4. If the company cancels a session due to safety concerns (for the practitioner or the animal being treated) then the company will consider reappointing the session if and when those safety issues have been addressed/resolved.
  5. The company reserves the right to offer the customer a full refund and cancel all future appointments without reason and without notice.
  6. The company agrees to accept vet permission which has been given previously, within the past 12 months, for other similar treatments or attained on behalf of/by other massage therapists for the same animal, as equivalent to vet permission given specifically for the services being delivered by the company.
  7. The company agrees that, where there are changes to an animal’s health which are not contraindications to massage, and the customer has informed the company 48 hours or more in advance of any booked session, the company will agree whether or not the session should go ahead based on the best interests of the animal concerned.
  8. It is acknowledged that where a sudden change in health condition happens, notice is not always possible. Any cases with less than 48 hours notice will be assessed case by case, by the company, and judgements/decisions on refunds/reappointments will be made based on the nature of the condition, the amount of notice given and the level of consultations with clinical professionals that has happened as part of the health change.
